About us:

Established in 2012, Lifted by Purpose (LBP) is an innovative trauma-informed creative enterprise with a focus on mental health and wellness. We operate as a collaborative partner of the non for profit organization SKETCH.

“We believe that everyone has a gift that can benefit themselves and share with the world. Self-awareness, access to resources, sharing stories, and empathy are the foundation for connected communities, wellness and solving problems. Engagement through the arts, education, social gatherings, and giving back helps to build relationships and practice humanity. When people unite to address a problem, change and innovation often happen.

Thank you to everyone on this journey with us to make an impact. “

– Arifah Yusuf, Founder of LBP

“The program has helped me to be calm and changed my life.”

“Got a lot going on. I don’t talk much, I just try to deal with my situation. But in this program, I felt comfortable to share a few things, I like that we learn how to use music, cause it’s all we do really in real life, listen to music to pass time and feel better. [It] Don’t feel like a program, just a cool space we can talk, listen to music and get the help we didn’t know really existed”
